The normal (active) form of vitamin B12 is called Methylcobalamin. As you may suspect, a vitamin B12 deficiency could cause serious problems in those areas! Some areas where B12 is required for proper function are the brain, nerves, and blood cells. That means it’s very important for the normal development and maintenance of your body. Well there’s a lot more, as I hope to show.įirst off, it’s called an essential vitamin. To me, it was just something to give me more energy. I have to admit, that before doing the research for this article, I was not fully aware of just how important this nutrient is. And even better reasons for it to be on our list of vitamin supplements we take every day. We just know that it’s a vitamin, so we probably ought to take it, just to be safe!Īs it turns out, there is good reason for it to be on that list.
